The best two weeks of the year are in full swing–no not the Christmas Season. Restaurant Week. It’s a great way to feel like a classy bitch on a grad student budget (forever crying). I started my restaurant week with this snazzy place called Perry St. on no other but Perry St. in Manhattan.
On Wednesday, I headed down to Brooklyn with Susan for a week-long interactive exhibit called the Hall of Magic. By the time I post this, it will be the last day (the 29th) so I apologize that you will not be able to go in person but I wanted to share my time there anyways.

If you are on social media, you know that ads are often tailored by what we just searched, what site we just visited, or what we may like. If you are on Facebook, you know that companies can pay for sponsored ads to show up on your news feed. Sometimes, it’s not so bad. This is one of those times.
I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since I’ve begun this blog. I have been neglectful of it as late but I am proud to have not given up and that I keep coming back to it. I have tons of ideas but unfortunately my pocket doesn’t seem to agree. I am not a huge blogger, I love to have people who read even though it’s not a big following. I only want to continue to write and create content.
That being said, I am thinking starting with a new year and another year older for my blog, I want to shift the focus more on lifestyle and just a mix in general. More beauty reviews, beauty products, and some ramblings here and there. I do not want to give up my fashion posts at all, but those will be here and there. I can’t afford to continue to buy new clothing to feature on my blog, I need to save up for the future haha.
I hope I can continue to do what I love here and have people enjoy it as well. Here is to another year! Happy Birthday, Sartorial Spice <3
A few weeks ago I had a much needed girls day out with my fellow fashion major friends. What better way to spend a Saturday than to stuff yourself full of dim sum? Conversation, food, and good friends is all you need. And ice cream. Always ice cream.
Hi guys! I feel like it’s been so long. 3 months is a long time without an update. I felt like I needed to step away for a little bit. Blogging was becoming more like a job. I, of course, want a bigger audience but not enough to make myself start hate blogging or feel it as a burden. It’s an expensive hobby with always needing to get new clothes or items to feature on Sartorial Spice. No, I do not get things for free or get gifted. Everything I have featured unless I have disclosed that it was given to me, was paid with by my own money.
Now, I feel like I have been wanting to buy this for a long time so I am really excited to share what I thought about it. <3
I always used to stay away from white because I thought it would make me look like a fat, fluffy marshmallow. Well, damn it, I don’t care anymore. White is one of my favorite shades to wear as well as black and the in between of grey. I don’t match my shoes to my bag, I don’t match anything to any part. I wear what I want and hope that it looks like me.

I let my nerdiness show by getting this uber cute Sailor Moon purse. It comes in two colors black (Luna) and white (Artemis). I of course had to represent my girl Luna and get the Big Metal Moon purse. The interior fits your phone and maybe a tiny wallet and your keys. It’s not that roomy but I find myself using it a lot. The quality is pretty good and I always get compliments on it.
The tunic/dress from Free People is one of my summer favorites that I managed to get for a steal somehow (despite being full price on the website). I had gone to Free People downtown and found this dress in the sale section, marked down with an extra 25% off. The button on the back was missing and ripped off so I went to the register and asked if I could have another discount. They gave me another 10% off and making it final sale. I went home super happy with my $50 find.
What has been your favorite steal ever? Nothing will ever beat the time I got some black leather pumps from Banana Republic for $5 but this beat it because I love it and it’s super comfy.
This post comes a bit late when it is already September but technically it’s still summertime. What better way to enjoy it by wearing a very summer outfit for the last time? I’ll continue wearing dresses but this crop top/maxi combo screams summer to me.
Disclaimer: This is a sponsored post. These products were given to me for my honest and unbiased review. Last time I posted, I wrote about Banana’s new campaign which featured pieces that were versatile and could easily be used for a variety of different scenarios whether it be going to an interview, heading to work, or going out with your friends.
Last month, I took a trip to California with my mom and my cousin (plus the munchkins) to enjoy the sunshine and oppressive heat. It was a pretty chill. We stayed at a family member’s home so we didn’t go much of anywhere.
Luckily, the last week I was there, my two friends also went to California. For the last 3 days, we hung out. Browsing on Facebook, I came across news talking about a Hello Kitty Cafe in California. I was flipping out. What!? Hello Kitty!? In Cali!? When!? Where!? It was an hour away from us so we decided to go ahead and head to Irvine. Read More →
