Fall Weather? Not Today

Wearing all black is usually the look that many love and adore but while fall is “here”..it really wasn’t.  The weather in Jersey/New York is still humid and hot which makes wearing all black a bit difficult.  Fall weather..sweater weather..where are you?

Minnie Vacation: Disney

Sometimes all you need is a good weekend away from home and the hustle and bustle. That is what I did. Between internship, final semester of grad school, home life, and my online work, I needed a break to disconnect and enjoy. My girls and I enjoyed our time in March so we vowed to do it again for Halloween. What better way to get away than a Minnie Vacation at Disney (haha get it? Mini…ok..)

Summertime Sadness, Summertime Blues

Summer is coming to a close much to the sadness of everyone really. School has started back up and my week of vacation is up. The weather is cooling down fast but even so, I wanted to still be able to wear shorts and dresses for a little bit longer.  Here begins my summertime blues.

How to Revive Old Denim with Embroidery

DIY: Easy Embroidery

Crafitiness is not in my blood.  Sewing is always something I’ve had an interest in but never the confidence to pursue it. I might try it for real one day but for now, hand-sewing and embroidery is where I am going to start.  Embroidered jeans are so in and for a while, I have been obsessing over them, but it can be expensive. The solution? I took a pair of denim that I had lying around and began to personalize it a bit to my taste. Read More →

Taco of the Town

School has been death. Between non-stop homework assignments, group projects, and just a lot of brain power in general, I am pooped.  It’s hard to have my second semester set in summer. It makes summer hard to enjoy. Dare to Bare All…Shoulders

**Not Sponsored. All opinions are mine and mine alone. Everything in this post was purchased with my own money.**

For a plus-size gal like myself, it took a long time to get comfortable enough to show certain parts of my body.  These include my shoulders and my arms.  They are not the thinnest or the cutest but I am not willing to suffocate and not wear cute things just because they are not what many would consider nice to look at. Screw that.

Chilly Summer Nights: What to Wear?

So how do you wear sweaters in the summer? You don’t. But if you are the type of person who gets chilly especially during the summer nights when the temperature drops, maybe a light sweater is the way to go;as long as there is ventilation (aka boob A/C or shoulder A/C).

Flowy and Floral

With the summer heat fluctuating up and down in the city, it’s hard to dress for the day.  It is like an oven on the outside but once you are in the office or school–you are probably freezing your butt off. I usually throw on a sweater, cardigan, or kimono but today called for just some plain ol’ short and a peek-a-boo shoulder.

It’s been so long since I posted and I apologize! My dear photographer’s computer was dying with viruses so I couldn’t have the pictures sent to me.  Beauty and the Beast is over but it doesn’t stop me from showing you this cute outfit.  I truly felt like Belle.
