New Year, Better Skin

*This is not a sponsored post and I am in no way endorsing this product. This is my honest review and opinion.

While I started of 2014 hoping I would have a little bit more money in my pocket I decided to start the new year off with a big splurge.  I went ahead and got myself a Clarisonic Aria.  I was never one who was big into skincare as I would just throw some water on my face and head out but now I know I want to take care of my skin while it is still youthful and free of big worries such as wrinkles.

I purchased my Clarisonic Aria from Sephora that came in a limited edition Rose Pink and contained Josie Maran products for a great deal of $175 when the original Aria’s are around $200.  If you are hesitant in dropping that much cash I could only tell you after using it for only 3 days, I can already see and feel a difference in my skin.

I am usually oily in the T-Zone with dry patches but with the blistering cold of winter I was with left with dull, dry skin that seemed to beg for rejuvenation.  After the first use with the lowest setting at 1-minute I felt how soft my skin was.  The great thing about the Aria if you are thinking about purchasing one is the 3-speeds and 2-minute timer capability.

– 0.5 oz Josie Maran 100 percent Pure Argan Oil
– 0.5 oz Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil
– 0.55 oz Josie Maran Argan Color Stick in Love
– Limited-Edition Moroccan travel bag

My skin is super soft and much more clearer than it has ever been.  My pores were always really tiny but I can see they are clean of any dirt when I used to see dirt within them.  My dry patches have disappeared and my skin tone is much more even.  I was unsure if everything people were saying was really worth splurging but now I can really see why people have raved about it.

You don’t need to apply pressure to feel the clean, you let it skim over your skin and it does all the work for you.

If you are unsure which Clarisonic you should get, I’ve done some of the research for you.

Mia is the cheapest at $125 and only has 1 speed.  Mia 2 comes with 2 speeds and in the most variety of colors for $150.  Aria has 3 and has a sleeker look to it than the others for $199.  At $225, the Plus offers 3 speeds and an added bonus with a body option.

photo 4(6)Sephora is having a 2x the points deal if you purchase Skincare Tools or Skincare so this is your chance to splurge!  Checking back, I realized the price went up to $199 which is strange because it had been $175 for the longest time. Strange but I sprung for this one because it was cheaper and I adored the color.  Let’s see how Clarisonic works for me over the next few weeks!

4 Thoughts on “New Year, Better Skin

  1. Ever since I began using my clarisonic plus about two years ago I have never looked back, my skin has been much smoother, less prone to blemishes and reduced pore size. I used to use it every night, but right now I’m on accutane so my skin is super sensitive so I only use it 2-3 times a week when I feel like my skin isn’t it’s brightest. So happy to hear you’ve joined the Clarisonic band wagon!
