Sometimes you do have to leave the comfort of your bed and go for a stroll in the park. That’s what I decided to do once I emerged from my cavern of a bedroom and out into the real world! After a wonderful–but short day in New York City on Saturday, thanks to the Her Campus National Intercollegiette Conference. I was a bit bummed that I left so early but I was feeling a bit out of the weather and decided rest would be the best!
After my night of hibernation, I decided I would try to be
one on friendlier terms with nature!
Today wasn’t a boob-sweat, back-sweat, and all kinds of sweat kind of day, it was actually pleasant. Pleasant enough to wear some jeans without the struggle of trying to cling to your legs and become another layer of skin. The best kind of jeans in the summer? Boyfriend jeans! You’re welcome.
I’m all for the midi ring trend! It’s a great way to get away with wearing too-small rings! (haha, for all you girls who know what I mean!). I also cannot go anywhere without my FitBit. It is seriously the best thing ever. I also felt like dressing up my fingernails and dabbed on a bit of Deborah Lippmann nail polish in “She Bop”.
The day consisted of me running away from bees, wasps, mosquitos, and avoiding getting mowed down by the occasional bike rider but all in all, I had a nice day in the park. It’s nice to just get away from the hustle and bustle of the city or being cooped up at home. It’s always nice to take some time for yourself. But as you can tell, you can add a bit of flair even if it is just for a walk around the park!
