Over the Edge

Black Booties
My favorite thing about fall coming is to be able to whip out my old, trusty boots and then run to the store to buy some new ones.  A lot of boots are out of a college girls’ price range but many come below the $150 mark and you can bet that you will find some good ones! Keep reading to see some outfit posts and to snag these boots for yourself.

Booties 2

Stud Embossed Leather Bootie, Lucky Brand, $99.95: If you love studs but don’t want it to be TOO obvious then you can opt for this demure but still edgy bootie.  It’s edgy without trying too hard. I love this one especially because of the zipper that goes around the boot. It would look great paired with some boyfriend jeans or skinnies tucked right in. The heel is short so it would probably be a pretty comfortable bet.

Set 1 Booties

Platform Ankle Bootie, Rampage, $59: These are by far the most affordable AND comfortable. I have a pair of these and honestly it has great arch support and is super light despite looking chunky. There are all the bells and whistles: buckles, shoe laces, AND zippers. You can pair this with anything including dresses and skirts. I will be sure to pull on my dark denim skinnies and a comfortable floral cardi to offset the edginess. This is a deal you can’t pass up!

Bootie 3

Basel Bootie, Lucky Brand, $130: The most expensive of the boot choices and one of the simplest.  You need a simple boot so that it can compliment your outfit; not take over.  I like this boot in specific because it has a hi-lo thing going on. The front is taller than the back, giving it a subtle difference but enough that it isn’t like others out there. Pair this one with a tee and jeans and you are ready to go!

Bootie 4

Textured Ankle Boots, THE SAK, $99: I am a sucker for a GOOD cut-out bootie. I like this one because the buckles aren’t overwhelming or gaudy. They are pretty simple and it leaves the peekaboo as center stage. Pair these boots with a high-rise jeans, a cropped sweater, and some of your favorite accessories and you have an outfit that screams comfort with a side of daring.

What is your favorite kind of bootie? What are the details you look for in a good boot?
