Fashion week. The oh-so-exclusive event that many dream of attending. Well, we can say we attended something similar! My partners in crime came along with me as we represented Montclair State University at College Fashion Week. We had no idea what to expect.
The venue itself was tight which was a surprise as I thought it would be somewhere much larger. I was sweating like a pig in my oversized blanket cardigan. There were only seats for the ‘VIP” so we were left standing to the side which was literally a pain. If I could tell you the tears I shed while walking around New York could flood the Hudson, it would.
Other than those downsides, it was pretty awesome to see Boohoo there. Don’t know Boohoo? They are a huge online retailer from the UK. And you know me, I am obsessed with the UK. Boohoo.com supplied all the awesome fashion at Saturday night’s show. They each had their own themes. They were:
Scene 1: Imperial- “Embody easy urban elegance in sleek military styling in wear-with-anything khaki hues”
Scene 2: Brooklyn Princess- “Go from street to sleek as powdery cosmetic tones transform sporty separates”
Scene 3: Woodlanders- “Heritage in kitsch forest prints and earthy tones”
Out of all of them Imperial was my favorite scene. I will put some photos below, many aren’t great quality as I wasn’t in a very good spot and I didn’t want to put my flash on (stupid mistake :()
