Sometimes, you stop and realize that time just flies by. Today, I stopped and stood in the hallway of ANN INC. My last day is Friday and I can’t believe how fast my internship has come to an end. This marks the end of my 10th internship and of an amazing journey. ANN INC is such a great company to intern for and I was given so many responsibilities that even I was surprised. Not only has my internship come to an end but soon my college years will too.
I just registered for my last semester of university. Honestly, I don’t want it to end but at the same time I do. I want to be able to not worry about assignments and grades but deep inside I am a little bit afraid of what is out there. Even with my vast internship experience I worry that I will not find my dream career. That I won’t reach those dreams. I know it’s a bit cynical and negative to think that way but it’s always in the back of my mind.
Of course, I always try to think positive despite the way our economy is. I just hope that I find a job that pays well or in a company that allows growth and promotions. We take a lot of things in life for granted and I am just glad that I have gotten this far in life that I have.
I plan to leave my internship on a high note, begin my new (seasonal) retail job on the right foot, and end the semester right while looking forward to the new one.
How are you feeling currently? I am just feeling thankful–which is great since it’s nearly Thanksgiving!
