Spring Break 2k17

For my spring break, I headed to Miami and Orlando for a week to just get away from these frigid temperatures.  My soul couldn’t take it anymore and begged for some sunshine and warmth.

Andrea, my new friend from LIM College, invited me to come with her to Disney and how could I say no? It had been a while, and honestly, I am a kid, so I said yes right away.  Andrea and I went overboard with all the stuff we bought for spring break and then I ended up forgetting most of it at home. Smooth. Very Smooth.

We headed to Orlando by car from Hollywood to our hotel.  Once there we threw our things onto our beds and went to Disney Springs for some dinner.  Dinner was at Bongo’s, a Cuban Restaurant.  I already knew that this vacation would be a splurge on food type of vacation.  We stuffed our mouths and then went out to Disney Springs for some shopping.

Well, did I forget to mention that it was in the low to high 40s both days? I froze to death in my adorable romper as well as my dresses at Disney. Thanks, cold front. You did me a solid.

After some shopping at Levi’s in which Susan and Andrea splurged, we headed back to the hotel to turn in somewhat early for breakfast.

I was in Florida for roughly a week but 2 days were spent in the land of dreams. One day was at Magic Kingdom (my favorite) and the other at Epcot for the flower and food festival (yassss).

Our first day of Disneybounding started off with breakfast at the Floridian Resort. I wanted to try some fancy breakfast, but I could not help but get the Mickey Waffle for the ‘gram.  It was delicious, and it was paired nicely with a mimosa.

Excuse the horrendous tights, it was so cold that it was my only saving grace.  Susan had done a Pocahontas Disneybound outfit but couldn’t take it and had to change into some pants and a shirt.  My Jasmine Disneybound outfit had to take a hit and I sadly only packed one sweater when I should’ve packed my leather jacket instead. Excuse my Ravenclaw sweater. I was double fandoming I guess.  Jackie was the most comfortable out of all of Andrea and us was Disneybounding as Belle which was perf if I may say so myself.

IMG_4435Oh, just me panicking and dying before getting on Big Thunder Mountain. I am a HUGE baby and I can’t stand small or big coasters but these girls managed to drag me on. Susan was cracking up the whole time to my screaming and cursing. I survived and so did they. (Hate you, Andrea.)

After that we went on the Tea Cups ride, Pirates of the Carribean, People Mover, and shopping.  Once night fell, we rushed to the Beauty and the Beast castle for our reservations at the Be Our Guest Restaurant.

The majority of us had the steak with pomme frites and some soft wine.  We also ordered the really adorable Enchanted Rose Cup to take home as a souvenir.  We dined in the Grand Dining Room and then we were free to explore the castle to see the East and West Wing.

For dessert, we were carted over a variety of sweets like a Lemon Strawberry Cupcake, Triple Chocolate Cupcake, The “Grey Stuff,” Cream Puffs, and Eclairs.  I nabbed myself a Triple Chocolate Cupcake even though I hardcore wanted to vomit but my god it was delicious.  Though I was so full, I was unable to walk, or breath from my damn tights and I had a feeling going on our last night of the day would be a challenge.

The Beast was so freaking cute. He could not stop freaking over his “Belle” even if this one was Cuban and blond.IMG_4432

Well. They ended up dragging me onto this damn coaster as well though I must admit after screaming and cursing them out, I kinda liked it. Note: me squeezing the life out of Susan’s arm. She was having a blast.

We ended day 1 with a bang.

On the second day, we woke up even earlier to get to Epcot bright and early to get on the Frozen ride. I. Froze.

We all wore our Minnie Ears from Etsy and all we got were compliments. I will link mine above.

We wanted to eat around the world and that is what we did. We went from Mexico to China to Japan to America to France and and all around again.
