Time Away

Every time I say I will be posting more, life throws me another curve ball. A few huge milestones have passed. My blog became 5 years old, I graduated with my Master’s in Fashion Marketing, and I’ve thrown myself back into the job search.

Museum of Ice Cream: Miami

Museum of Ice Cream

After finishing Grad school–I still cannot believe how quick almost a year went by..I knew I needed a little break before delving back into job hunting. I have family near Miami and it has been a while since I seen them all and I knew I needed to get away from the freezing cold.

Minnie Vacation: Disney

Sometimes all you need is a good weekend away from home and the hustle and bustle. That is what I did. Between internship, final semester of grad school, home life, and my online work, I needed a break to disconnect and enjoy. My girls and I enjoyed our time in March so we vowed to do it again for Halloween. What better way to get away than a Minnie Vacation at Disney (haha get it? Mini…ok..)

Perfect Summer Outfit

White & Blue: Perfect Summer Outfit

Summer has seemingly just flown by in a blink of an eye. I feel, that despite not being fully able to enjoy my summer, I had a few good weekends to make it  semi-enjoyable.What makes me feel better though are wearing my favorite colors. Colors are everything. They affect your mood and how you perceive things. White and blue make a perfect summer outfit.

Spring Break 2k17

For my spring break, I headed to Miami and Orlando for a week to just get away from these frigid temperatures.  My soul couldn’t take it anymore and begged for some sunshine and warmth.

Restaurant Week | Perry St.

The best two weeks of the year are in full swing–no not the Christmas Season. Restaurant Week.  It’s a great way to feel like a classy bitch on a grad student budget (forever crying).  I started my restaurant week with this snazzy place called Perry St. on no other but Perry St. in Manhattan.

Hall of Magic

On Wednesday, I headed down to Brooklyn with Susan for a week-long interactive exhibit called the Hall of Magic. By the time I post this, it will be the last day (the 29th) so I apologize that you will not be able to go in person but I wanted to share my time there anyways.

4th Blogiversary

girlygoingawayparty

I can’t believe it’s been 4 years since I’ve begun this blog. I have been neglectful of it as late but I am proud to have not given up and that I keep coming back to it. I have tons of ideas but unfortunately my pocket doesn’t seem to agree. I am not a huge blogger, I love to have people who read even though it’s not a big following. I only want to continue to write and create content.

That being said, I am thinking starting with a new year and another year older for my blog, I want to shift the focus more on lifestyle and just a mix in general. More beauty reviews, beauty products, and some ramblings here and there. I do not want to give up my fashion posts at all, but those will be here and there. I can’t afford to continue to buy new clothing to feature on my blog, I need to save up for the future haha.

I hope I can continue to do what I love here and have people enjoy it as well. Here is to another year! Happy Birthday, Sartorial Spice <3

Chinatown Crawl

Chinatown

A few weeks ago I had a much needed girls day out with my fellow fashion major friends. What better way to spend a Saturday than to stuff yourself full of dim sum? Conversation, food, and good friends is all you need. And ice cream. Always ice cream.

Hello Kitty Cafe

IMG_2030

Last month, I took a trip to California with my mom and my cousin (plus the munchkins) to enjoy the sunshine and oppressive heat. It was a pretty chill. We stayed at a family member’s home so we didn’t go much of anywhere.

Luckily, the last week I was there, my two friends also went to California. For the last 3 days, we hung out. Browsing on Facebook, I came across news talking about a Hello Kitty Cafe in California. I was flipping out. What!? Hello Kitty!? In Cali!? When!? Where!? It was an hour away from us so we decided to go ahead and head to Irvine.
