The New and Improved Aeropostale

Aeropostale GSPDisclaimer: I’ve received compensation from Aeropostale but all opinions are mine.

I bounced over happily to Aeropostale in Garden State Plaza this past Saturday with a friend to check out a party they were having.  I’ve seen the new store and new clothing and honestly, I love it.  It’s nothing like the boring polos with the word AERO posted in the front.  It’s cool, it’s edgy, and it’s cute.

Wednesday Wishlist: 09.17.14

Wednesday WishlistSchool has been kicking my butt. As you can tell, I missed a post on Monday because..well..I just totally forgot.  You can’t blame a girl! But this week, I’ve been wishing for a LOT of things..and they aren’t really material at this point. Yes, it’s the beginning of the semester but this is what I am wishing for.

Wednesday Wishlist

wednesday-wishlist-septemberGuess what today is!? It’s Wednesday!! (and back to school! Noooo..) While I am sitting on my 5 hour hiatus between classes, I decided to jot down what I want most right now–that isn’t my warm comfy bed beckoning for me to come home.

End of an ICONIX Journey

photo(74)

For the past 5 months, I have been interning at ICONIX Brand Group. I can say that it has been the best experiences of my life.  I’ve learned so much and I honestly didn’t think I was going to be so sad to go.  At my time there, I was the Public Relations/Marketing/Social Media intern.  Never have I felt so useful or learned so much.

An Appointment at The Bar

*This post has not been sponsored and I’ve not received compensation. I merely am writing about my experience. Enjoy!

To get ready for a wedding, I set an appointment at The Bar at BaubleBar to get some classy baubles to wear for the occasion. If you haven’t heard of BaubleBar then I suggest you check it out because they have some great accessories! They aren’t dirt cheap like Charming Charlie or Forever 21 but you do get a great, trendy piece that you can’t beat.

Struggles & Triumphs

photo(68)I’m so upset that my blog is getting put on the back burner but working full-time really does take most of the time off your hands.  I can’t believe that I am pretty much half way done with my internship at ICONIX Brand Group.  I’ve fallen into the groove of things and it saddens me to think that all the amazing people and things I have been doing will have to come to an end. Badgley Mischka Fall 2014

photo(66)Every fashionista dreams of heading to the Big Apple in September or February when FashionWeek is in full swing.  But Fashion Week isn’t just a show of style, it’s a crucial time for buyers of big companies like Bloomingdale’s and Bergdorf Goodman to get a peek of the new collection so they could get it into stores when it is actually Fall 2014.  It’s a business transaction in sorts but it has since become more than that.  Backstage, I saw how everything and everyone.  It was really amazing to be standing only inches away from Mark Badgley and James Mischka.  I was surprised how organized it was and how calm it all was. There was no screaming or running around, no one was panicking. It was very calm except for the hordes of accepted press squished into the tent, trying to get shots of the designers and a few celebrities that were hanging out.

The Professional Intern

As you could tell, I am doing a rather poor job of following through on posting more but I can guarantee I have a good reason!  This semester, I decided to intern full-time for school credit.  It is required for my major to actually graduate and since I cannot afford to pay tuition to do it as a summer class, I took my semester off to pursue a great internship.  I was lucky enough to land my internship at ICONIX Brand Group and become their Public Relations intern.
