3.1 Philip Lim for Target

target-phillip-lim-fw13-01The anticipated designer collaboration has hit stores and online today and the was much frenzy.  I wasn’t shopping or aware of these collaborations when Missoni was launched, but from what I hear, it was a chaos.  I began shopping these collaborations starting with Jason Wu for Target.  It was not as bad but I did have to stay up past midnight to snag a few items online and then try to see if I could get lucky in store.  I’ve grown wiser since then.  Last night did not run smoothly, however.

Back to School Fashion Series: Part 4: Jackets

Back to School Jackets

Hello Spices, I apologize in the lack of fashion posts.  All these classes are really kicking my butt already and I’ve had quite a bit of writers’ block. Not good.  I am back and I am really happy to say that this is the conclusion to the Back to School Fashion Series.  You can check back at the other 3 posts at the top of my blog.  The last in my series? Jackets!

Tadashi Shoji Spring 2014

Tadashi Shoji

Hello Spices!

New York Fashion Week kicked off last week and I have been watching the multitude of designs strut down the runway with bated breath.  There are plenty of designers that have caught my eye and my heart, but the one who stole it was Tadashi Shoji.  He was by far the most different from the others.  I absolutely loved the surprise plaid in his designs.  Plaid? In the spring? Unheard of.

Hello Spices! I’m sorry for the long delay as I am currently mentally trying to get ready for university.  Textbooks are just so darn expensive! This is part 3 out of 4.  I know many might be back in school already but for the east coast, we still have a good week left.  We are onto scarves!

Back to School Fashion Series: Part 2: Boots & Booties

Boots and Booties

Hello Spices! I know school is approaching fast and it is officially back to school shopping time so I wanted to show you the different boots and booties there are out there, somewhere.  Fall isn’t fall without all the beautiful boots and ankle booties.  They just scream fall to me and I get really excited seeing less flip flops and more heels.

Fall-ing for Stripes

Falling for Stripes

It never ceases to amaze me to see stripes nearly every season.  I am a sucker for stripes.  Every time I walk into a store, I find myself gravitating towards a mound of striped shirts.  I am a moth to a light bulb.  They go with pretty much anything and they really are what I consider, a basic.

Fourth of July Fashion

Fireworks

Hello Spice Girls & Guys!

I have a love-hate relationship with July 4th.  I love the energy, the patriotism, and the fireworks.  I hate the traffic, the closed roads, traffic, and the fashion.

I am all for showing off the colors but sometimes I cringe when I see some people leave their house in red pants, an American flag pasted on a t-shirt, and a bunch of American flag accessories.  I don’t mind if you wear a flag..as long as you do it in a subtle way.

Here are a few outfits I put together for a cute fourth of July!

Fourth of July Outfit 3
Fourth of July Outfit 4

There are so many ways to dress up and have a great July 4th!  What are you going to do on the 4th of July? Do you have your outfit planned?

The best thing about this day? The food and the time spent with family! Try to make it the best you can…and if you don’t have anything planned then it’s a great day to just snuggle in bed and watch some great movie re-runs!
