It’s been a while since I posted. It’s just been hard to find the inspiration and the drive to write and upkeep with the blog. I don’t lead a particularly interesting life (I won’t lie–I’m pretty plain like everyone else). I don’t live the blogger life as I don’t gain any money from this or have a ginormous following.
With the job search pretty much zilch–thanks economy, I have lots of time to myself and my family now while working part time. For the past few days, I think this is the most social life I’ve had since high school.
My best guy friend came down from Florida and despite living so close to New York, he’d never been SO why not make an adventure out of it?
One door closes but another opens. I am starting a new journey as a college graduate. It’s like I’ve been thrown into a state of limbo but there’s something exciting and I am actually in no hurry to apply to five million jobs. I am perfectly content with the small part-time jobs I have currently while I build up my resume.
I’ve been MIA. Between finals and my new retail job at Anthropologie, I feel that time has escaped me. Along with escaping time, my birthday was last Friday. It’s surreal how fast the year flies. I’ve strengthened friendships, gained more knowledge, and I am a step closer to graduating university.
Sometimes, you stop and realize that time just flies by. Today, I stopped and stood in the hallway of ANN INC. My last day is Friday and I can’t believe how fast my internship has come to an end. This marks the end of my 10th internship and of an amazing journey. ANN INC is such a great company to intern for and I was given so many responsibilities that even I was surprised. Not only has my internship come to an end but soon my college years will too.
School has been kicking my butt. As you can tell, I missed a post on Monday because..well..I just totally forgot. You can’t blame a girl! But this week, I’ve been wishing for a LOT of things..and they aren’t really material at this point. Yes, it’s the beginning of the semester but this is what I am wishing for.
Last night, I had an epiphany while watching one of my favorite bloggers, Zoella. I want to do a vlog! I want to do hauls, and reviews, and it will be so much fun! Not. I got all made up,put on a nice t-shirt and proceeded to sit in front of my Macbook Pro. It was a mess. 15 video redo’s later and I am no closer to getting started.
First off, It’s awkward. It’ awkward to sit there and stare into the little camera. How are you supposed to start your own video? What should the topic be? How long should it be? I picked a topic but I ended up rambling. I then began to pick myself apart. “Oh my god..is that how I look like when I talk?Look at that double chin! I look like I’m having a seizure with my eyes always rolling up to look at the ceiling!”
Awful.Just awful. I’m going to give it another shot on Wednesday and see how it goes. I have no lighting in my room and no editing skills, this is going to be quite a challenge. Fingers crossed!
Have any of you vlogged or did a youtube video?Any tips?
